All of our jewelry is hand built from Sterling Silver, and Brass.  We sometimes add found objects such as beach glass or rocks and occasionally we use semiprecious stones.  We also have a line of items that includes the use of polymar clay.

Our work has what we refer to as an "oxidized" finish.  The oxidation is brought about through a process involving a chemical called liver of sulphur.  Depending on the technique used, the sulphur can turn silver a rainbow of colors from turquoise to matte black. We usually steel wool most of the color off to achieve more of a pewter-type finish, but sometimes the color is left to be what it is. 

All of the earwires we use are Niobium and all the posts are Sterling Silver.  We use Niobium simply because it matches the color of the oxidized Sterling so well.  Niobium is NOT an alloy and contains NO Nickel!

Sizes and measurements in the catalog are approximate!  Our work is not cast or machine reproduced.  We hand build each piece starting from scratch every time.  With this in mind, please know that every earring, pin, or pendant may vary slightly in size, and shape.  Most of our metals have patterns on them that have been hand etched.  These too, will vary.  You can rest assured that the jewelry you order from what you see here on our website will be as close in quality to the original as is humanly possible!
